Interesting development. I figured they'd sign a one year guy, like Simmons last year, just for depth. Adams burned his red-shirt last year but still has 3 years left. He'll compete for the #2 spot.

Nate Palmer, a 6'0"-190# RB, has committed to the Badgers. Last year at TCU he had 30 carries for 139 yds. Palmer has 3 yrs remaining (as if that means anything). Kind of fits with what Fick said recently about not expecting Gideon Ituka back for the '26 season. That left them with only Dupree, and Wiggins the high school commit from GA.

Another guy changes his mind?

Just saw a report that DT Charles Perkins has taken his name out of the portal and will be returning to the Badgers for the 2026 season. He'll likely be a major part of the DT rotation.

Badgers got a portal committment from Jayden Loftin, 6'4"-255# Edge from Tenn. He was 4-star HS player who was recruited by UW for the '25 class but ultimately chose the Vols. He appeared in one game for Tenn. in 2025, so still has 4 yrs of eligibility remaining.

Wisconsin has received a portal committment from Malachi Coleman, a 6'5"-200# WR who played for Minnesota last year, where he has 5 catches for 83 yds and 0 TDs. He also played for Nebraska for 2 years where he had 8 catches for 139 yds and a TD as a true freshman. Year 2 was a redshirt season. Not much production for a guy who was a 4-star HS recruit. Likely a guy looking for an opportunity who'll be depth guy at UW.
