2025 Free Agent Thread

nope... both of them are bench fodder. I am drafting a guy in the first 4 rounds and signing a FA
if we can get a guy like jihaad campbell or even demetrius knight, jr. in the draft, who would you want for a free agent acquisition? cooper appears to be a keeper. we know nothing about hopper after year 1. there's five linebackers on the roster. you're talking about letting two of the three starters walk. leaving us with walker, cooper, and a totally untested hopper. cooper seems ready to promote to the starting defense. so we do need a quality starter (free agent) and depth (draft).

but is five guys enough? we have sixteen defensive linemen, ten cornerbacks, nine wide receivers and seven tight ends on our roster right now, but only five linebackers. who is running this ship?

Oren Burks LOL

i would love to see zack baun return to wisconsin and play for the packers.

He's going to get a nice paycheck and a starting job. GB won't start him as they won't give up on Walker yet.
the packers are losing two of their starting linebackers to free agency. one of them will be replaced by cooper. zack baun would be fantastic as the third. and when walker's contract runs out baun could take his place and whoever we draft this year can be the third. or maybe hopper turns into a starter (not holding my breath).

I just can’t see Philly letting him out of the building. Same with Bolton in KC.

I believe Philly has cap issues but I think Baun wants to stay there so he could possibly take a little less to stay there.

He was incredible in that Fangio D, makes sense for both sides to get something done there.

sadly, you're probably right. the only thing that might lead to him leaving is that he was signed on a one-year prove-it deal, and he showed up big-time - way more than he has so far in his career. maybe the eagles can't afford him. still, even if they do have to let him go, he will have a lot of suitors. gute probably won't want to pay him.

It’s a different scheme he’s been playing in, I don’t think it’s as simple as money. I actually don’t know his role in that defense, my feeling is that Bolton would be a way better fit for Hafley as we’re missing a true MLB type.
