2025 Free Agent Thread

Several years back Packers tried to trade for Khalil Mack but failed. He has now said he wants to play in 2025. He will be a FA. Though he is going to be 34 years old next month. Should Gute look at him again or is he to old now to look at?

For me a guy turning 34 years old I am going to pass on unless he is going to accept a 1 or 2 year deal and even then I am not offering much maybe give a incentive laden deal but he wants more good luck finding it.

DJ Reed
Asante Samuel Jr
Darius Slayton
Marquise Brown

Would be guys I would look at.

notice that the pakers are not mentioned as a potential landing spot for any of these.
I think the Packers are happy with Walker and Cooper so LB is not going to be a high priority. They will look the the cheaper vets or mid to late round picks to help depth at LB. Got to hope Hooper is going to step into a good backup role after spending a 3rd round pick on him.

If Zach Tom and his agent say it's time for a long term deal are you paying him this year and signing him?
No.

Just remember the last Lions game. The Lions 2d and 3d string defensive line absolutely pummeled our starting offensive line.

The Vikings game wasn't much better.

The Bears game wasn't much better.

The Eagles game wasn't much better.

Remember all the times the Pack went for it on 4th and short and got STUFFED. Then basically had to give up that aggressive tactic because the offensive line was so bad.

They are big, probably nice guys that could beat the crap out of this retired loosehead with a bad left shoulder, 1 ball, broken back, broken neck and 2 fake hips. But they're on roller skates far too often when trying to block for Love's passes and consistently don't open big holes for the run game.

If any of these guys play hardball, let them go.

The best offensive lineman Green Bay has is probably at best a back up somewhere else. And, if not, god help them.
