2025 Draft Prospects Thread

i don't usuallt trade in these things, but this time i traded back two spots in the first round for an extra 3rd round pick.

we are a wide zone running team... not power gap. Those guys are not what we need.

The reason I want those guys is so that we don't have offensive lineman getting blown back past and through Love in pass protection. Our guys are worthless and weak and probably can't give 20.

I'll bet that a good coach could coach - teach the big nasties I'd like wide zone blocking.

Nobody's going to teach worthless and weak how to get balls and a backbone.

I'll defer to your knowledge on all Xs and Os. But, if our offensive line doesn't at least improve from weak tit to tit, we're golfing in January 2026

You forget, and you can look back. I called the OL as an issue back in camp.

Don't need to. I agreed with you back then.

I truly believe get a dominating inspiring offensive line will fix a lot of problems:

  • Love will throw better, step into passes, have better velocity, and better accuracy because he won't be running for his life
  • Defense will be more rested because offense will keep drives going
  • The go for it on fourth downs will have a far better chance of success and far far less chance of getting stuffed
  • Receivers will make more catches because Love will deliver better passes - yes, they should have been making catches

And, not a problem but imagine Jacobs behind a great offensive line.

Ahhh, fantasy

They ran a lot of power stuff this year though didn't they? Lot of pulling guards. Eyeball test says ML has been moving away from the wide zone. That said, GB has never drafted an OL over 6'6 and over 330, if memory serves. They have some athletic windows.

In the end GB is going to draft another DT in the 1st round that will be a rotation player this year and fans will be left saying WTF again.
