Well, as much as I want Bucky to win and it seems that the world is against us.

Bucky is doing this to itself.

I wish Fourqureans could play. But, he did burn 2 years of eligibility before Wisconsin. It might have been at a non-division 1 school, but it was in college. We can't have players competing for 6-8 years in college which they will do to get some NIL money - especially if they really aren't pro potential.

Sucks for Forqurean and Bucky, but he really needs to move on. I wish him well.
 
2026 Badgers commit Zachary Taylor has decommitted and will stay in his home state of Texas and attend TCU.

Biggest Win: RB Amari Latimer

Sneaky-Good Get: DL Djidjou Bah

Luke Fickell's first two full recruiting cycles at Wisconsin netted top 25 classes, but his third go at things is shaping up to be a disappointment unless the Badgers can generate some momentum through on-field results.

Wisconsin beat out a number of SEC foes for a program-fit in running back Amari Latimer and plucked a big-framed pass catcher out of Florida in Jayden Petit, but there haven't been many victories outside of that. In fact, the past two months saw two of the Badgers' more promising commits flip elsewhere in defensive lineman Carmelow Taylor (Ole Mis) and defensive back Zachary Taylor (TCU)

Fickell built a winner through savvy evaluations and sound player development at Cincinnati. The clock is ticking in Madison and the school's worst finish in the modern recruiting era could accelerate things.

Grade: D+
 
I think Coach Fickell's seat is hot and it should be. But, I think he survives with a warm butt if he gets 5 wins and Bucky is competitive.

In 2025, Bucky must win the 3 it should: Miami of OH, Middle Tennessee, Maryland.

2025 becomes great if:
  • Bucky wins at least once against Illinois, Indiana, Washington, Iowa.
  • Gets the Axe Back! And,
  • At least scares one of the Bigs it's playing in the 4th quarter: Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan, Alabama.

In 2026, Coach Fickell better win 7 or he's burned in effigy.

Bucky needs to start being competitive - as in, yeah they were better, but if we got a couple of bounces, our hustle could have won the game. Bucky needs to be competitive to get players interested. I know we may be on the short end of the stick with NIL, but we have to make up for that with being competitive and winning. If Bucky becomes competitive and wins, NIL will increase.

Right now, we're probably short on NIL, and we're short on being competitive and winning. That's a horrible combination. Together, I don't think it creates a hugely desirable situation.

Then the stupid stuff Bucky is letting the Big Ten talk them into doing. Oi Veh.\!?#$%$C!?

By 2027, Bucky needs to start consistently winning 8 or more and have a shot at something special.

They can't fire him ...BIG buyout....can't eat it right now. He gets this season and next...then it gets interesting.

I agree.

That's what I was trying to describe. I know it's rough. I think he's navigating rough waters about as good as can be, but we need some wins.
