They don't test guys like AR and Brady. Too big of a money issue.

If they do test them, they probably tell them ahead of time so they get it out of their system. :)
 
It's not a performance enhancer and it's not a substance of abuse, so what is it? Under what pretense do you ban it?
 
2022 Training Camp Update: August 8th

  • Full pads today.

Injuries: OL David Bakhtiari (PUP-knee), K Mason Crosby (PUP-knee), OL Elgton Jenkins (PUP-knee), TE Robert Tonyan (PUP-knee), WR Christian Watson (PUP-knee), RB Kylin Hill (PUP-knee)

Not Practicing / Limited: WR Malik Taylor (shoulder), OL Cole Schneider (ankle), RB Patrick Taylor (groin), WR Osiris Mitchell (quad), Darnell Savage (hamstring), ILB Ty Summers (illness), TE Marcedes Lewis (vet rest)

Offense:

  • Samori Toure just missed a throw from Rodgers against air. Ran the route wrong. Both Rodgers and Allen Lazard walked over to correct him and show him how the route is run.
  • Rodgers gives Danny Davis a fist bump after he hauled in a deep bomb that he had to make a late adjustment to. It was against air but an impressive spinning catch nonetheless.
  • 1v1 Tyler Davis diving catch against V Scott
  • Amari a little separation vs SJC (and maybe a push off)
  • Carpenter lost in coverage vs Dafney who makes 1 handed catch.
  • Hyman beats Nixon as does Davis.
  • Lazard beats Vaughn deep. Video
  • Winfree beats Ento deep.
  • Amari toasts Jean-Charles deep.
  • Toure beats Gafford.
  • Tyler Davis beats Vernon Scott.
  • Doubs toasts Carpenter on a deep ball down the left sideline. Similar route he beat Alexander on.
  • Yosh Nijman continues to impress in one on ones. Good balance. Ty Clary hav some nice reps at center too.
  • 1st OL Yosh - Runyan - Myers - Hanson - Newman
  • Tyler Davis comes wide open on a crosser. Nice start for him after winning his 1x1 battles too.
  • 1st OL rotating- switched to Newman at RG, Tom at RT
  • Rodgers dodges pressure and throws an off-balance strike to Jones as his checkdown along the sideline. Makes that look way too easy.
  • Rodgers is reeeeal unhappy with Myers about something at the LOS prior to the snap of the ball. Gives him a bit more of the business as the 1s switch out with the 2s.
  • Rodgers hit Dom Dafney on an under route.
  • Looks like Cobb is getting a partial vet rest day as well.
  • Love throws an ill-advised pass off his back foot that comes our awkward. Luckily it falls far short and just incomplete.
  • Rodgers slips tight throw in to Winfree on crosser vs Douglas and Winfree makes sliding catch on third and 6.
  • Rodgers beats Campbell’s inside blitz with an old school quick hitter down the middle to Lazard in the slot. Video
  • 2 min: Checkdown Dillon - clock ticks
  • Out route to Watkins and out of bounds
  • Screen to Dillon out of bounds
  • Lazard over the middle - clock ticks
  • Doubs does the wrong thing on fake spike and Rodgers signals for a new WR.
  • Lazard shirt catch for a first down. Timeout.
  • Hail Mary(ish) goes out of the end zone. 5 seconds left.
  • Loves turn. Hits Amari over the middle. Nice pickup. Clock ticks.
  • Checkdown to Goodson. Immediate stop by Barnes. Timeout.
  • Checkdown Goodson. Barnes stop. Clock ticks.
  • Incomplete intended for T Davis.
  • Love hits Amari again. Clock ticks.
  • Complete short to Hyman who gets out. 1 play left.
Defense:

  • ILB Ty Summers is not practicing because of an non-COVID illness.
  • 1v1 Toure & Gafford hell of a battle deep. Ball comes out after contact with ground.
  • Jaire forced incompletion deep vs Allen Lazard.
  • Alexander locked Doubs up on a comeback route and got the PBU. Jaire screamed “COME ON, MAN” in Doubs’ face.
  • Mack can’t hang on against Leavitt
  • Doubs burned Jaire on a go route deep left sideline but dropped a good pass. Alexander told Doubs it was OPI.
  • Awesome hand battle Watkins vs Stokes. Watson gets a bit of separation but can’t hang on.
  • Sammy Watkins makes Jaire Alexander go against him. Jaire Alexander jammed Watkins at the LOS and just ran the route for Sammy Watkins. That was un freaking real. Dropped the pick but the coverage was god mode. Douglas is there to celebrate him.
  • V Scott with the ones filling in for injured Savage.
  • CB Kiondre Thomas just ran out of his shoe while successfully defending a 1v1 drill.
  • Adrian Amos perfect coverage on a deep shot to Watkins. Ball isn’t close and falls incomplete.
  • Jarran Reed nice job resetting the LOS vs Runyan.
  • Stokes has given up some catches in camp, but he showed why he was such a tough cover as rookie jamming Sammy Watkins at LOS. Had Watkins so out of sorts, he forced drop on slant. Stokes also covered good stutter-go route vs Watkins. Impressive blend of speed and toughness.
  • Wyatt works hard for a pressure.
  • Clark probably would have drawn a holding penalty on a pass rush off play action. This dl is balling right now.
  • Jarran Reed with another stop at the line of scrimmage. Campbell there as well.
  • Rodgers tries to hit Rodgers deep. Douglas with tight coverage but 8 had a chance along the sidelines. Falls incomplete.
  • Jordan Love falling away as he rolled to the right and underthrowing his target (he would’ve been sacked by La’Darius Hamilton) and throws one right into the chest of his high school teammate Krys Barnes for the first INT of the day. Good trail coverage by Krys Barnes.
  • Dallin Leavitt all over an end around to Hyman.
  • Even when the offense gains a few yards on a run play the defense is all rallying to the football.
  • Rico Gafford comes up a bit gimpy after a run play. He goes to the sidelines. Update: back practicing after getting ankle taped up.
  • Jaire Alexander with a rare nickel rep. Blitzed Aaron Rodgers from the slot and forced an incompletion. Next rep, Alexander moved back outside with Rasul Douglas at nickel and forced an incompletion on deep ball from Aaron Rodgers. Blanketed Watkins on a sideline go in 11-on-11.
  • Preston Smith busts through a double team for a pressure on 12.
  • Now Garvin screams off the edge for a pressure.
  • Reed gets what would’ve been a coverage sack. Incredibly strong day for Reed today.
  • CB Keisean Nixon is repping as 2nd-team nickel after returning from injury yesterday.
  • TJ Slaton with a would be sack on Love. Give credit to the coverage.
  • Good lord Jarran Reed. Have a damn day. Just spun off a double team for a stop of AJ Dillon.
  • Defense is dominating today. Gary, Garvin, Reed, Slaton all in the backfield. Corners locking up. Campbell sniffing out tosses. This defense seems pretty decent if you ask me.
  • La’Darius Hamilton with a sack and a TFL here. Making a strong case for the No. 3 OLB spot
  • De’Vondre Campbell nearly picked off Aaron Rodgers on 3rd down of the 2-minute drill. Dropped it. Was right in his hands.
  • Hook & Lateral play doesn’t work. 1st team defense wins the 2 min.
  • Keisean Nixon game winning INT off love to end 2nd team 2 min. Clock was out so it was a desperation play from the 16-yard line.
Special Teams:

  • Gabe Brkic’s rough camp continues. Good from 45 and 47, but he pushes a 46 yarder wide right from the right hash.
  • Isaiah McDuffie a bit banged up after a ST play but he stays in.
  • Hyman muffs a punt after allowing it to hit his chest. Was a nice punt by O’Donnell.
  • And then Hyman muffs his next chance as well. Tough day for a player who has had a nice start to camp.
  • Breakdown on punt team. Rasul Douglas busts through and likely would have blocked it easily had he not pulled up. O’Donnell shanks it to the side.
  • Douglas with a pressure on the next punt as well as Innis Gaines celebrates Kabion Ento’s speed release as a gunner.
  • Low snap by Wirtel on a punt and he limps off the field after the play.
  • Pat O’Donnell a bit all over the place punting on a chilly, wet day: 37 yards, N/A hang | 43, 3.47 | 56, 4.56 | 63, 4.50 | 45, 4.40 | 33, 3.09 | 53, 4.56 | 54, 4.56 | 52, 4.50 (TB) | 43, 4.35 (downed at 5)

Interviews:

LaFleur Presser:

  • Packers will practice outside today, even with the rain. "It'll be a good experience for everybody."
  • LaFleur: "I wouldn't anticipate (Darnell Savage) practicing at all this week"
  • Jordan Love will start at San Francisco on Friday, LaFleur says.
  • He says there's no decision yet on whether Aaron Rodgers will play this preseason. He doesn't expect to make that decision until after joint practices with Saints next week.
 
So nor on banned substance list so Rodgers can do before the game and be tripping balls
 
From this sounds like Watkins is struggling in camp. Thought he would be safe to make roster a month ago but now thinking more he won't.

Also saw on news that Jenkins and Tonyan both doing individual drills like jogging and cutting. Jenkins feels he's ahead of schedule.
