The narrative from the organization is somewhat vague because they feel it needs to be vague. What are they supposed to say? If they say he's our QB for 2021-22 and then we'll re-evaluate, that won't sit well with AR because it's the truth. If they say he's the QB for the next 3 years but they change their minds, that doesn't go down well either because that's a lie from someone's lips the moment you say it.
Face it, they want to control the timeline and part of me doesn't blame them. They want the flexibility to move on depending on what they see from Rodgers and Love. One is on the decline, the other hopefully on the rise. If the lines meet they want the flexibility to cut loose the guy on the decline and keep the organization as well positioned to win as possible. If they want the control, they have to accept the fall-out.
