Post Game GB Outlast Vikings 43-34

I just find it strange that Dillon got what 1 carry in the game.

that's distorting the facts. the defense gave up a total of 10 points in the first three quarters. the packers matched them touchdown for touchdown during garbage time. i hate the prevent defense. they didn't have to give up 21 points in the fourth quarter.

anyway, they ran the ball only two times during the three td drives in the fourth quarter, so really - what did their 5.5 yards per carry get them? aaron jones had one tenth of a yard less per carry than cook (4.1 vs 4.2). and tyler ervin had 4.4 yards per carry more than mattison (12.7 vs 8.3). even though they were favored to win, we beat them in every facet of the game.

the only thing that sucks is that we lost three starters to injury. if the injury to clark is serious, then yes - our defense has a major problem.

They gave up 5.5 per carry, that is the fact that matters and scored 34 points on only 49 plays. And with the big TOP advantage we only had an 11 point lead at end of 3rd. You cannot expect to put up 43 each week and win. The DL especially the interior is weak and lack depth and if Clark is out an extended period we have issues

he had 2....but not to nitpick. I think it was more a game flow thing 12 was hot and feed the hot hand

Turns out Jaire’s safety was dumb luck as he thought they were running a different defensive play. If he gets blocked in any way there were two Vikings running down the middle of the field wide open.
Yep, saw that live. No way they call for Jaire to leave their best wr wide open. It was lucky that Minnesota called a play action to the opposite side of the field and Cousins had no time to look.

Sunday put some wind in my sails after a draft-night that had me kinda meh all summer, mixed in with COVID and not thinking a season would really be possible.

-Rodgers obviously looked great. Comfortable, throwing darts again (that rope to Davante was vintage Godgers)! Huge if he can keep it up, as I thought his precision passing was a thing of the past. Props to Gute if part of the Love thinking was getting Aaron focused.

-I was not very comfortable buying into Lazard after the small sample last season, but he looks like a real find. Just a gamer, and he looks like he's in great shape, moving well out there.

-MLF showing some tasty creativity, think we're just seeing the product of year two comfortability all-around.

-I hope Kenny is okay. This defense is average even with him, but without him, we are a **** dumpster fire in the middle.

Positives:

The MLF offense looked light years better in year 2;
Rodgers was outstanding and so was D. Adams;
The OL, despite all the injuries and shuffling around, did a good job (against what admittedly is a much weaker than in year's past front 4);
Lazard was decent;
The RB by committee was solid (Williams really good in pass blocking but please no more running horizontally);
Z and Jaire both came up with big plays on D; and
Crosby looks to be as good as ever.

Negatives:

Injuries to Taylor and Clark;
MVS just can't keep dropping passes - he is the lone deep threat and the team needs him to contribute like he did when he held on to the passes;
Way too many big pass plays even if it was mostly in prevent mode (bad day for Savage);
The interior of the defensive line outside of Clark is just so bad and I don't see it getting any better absent an addition of talent.

Always nice to beat the Vikings but much work to be done.

don't understand all the negativity on mvs. he caught four out of six passes thrown to him. he had 96 yards and a td. those are decent stats for a #1 receiver. what more do you want from a #2 receiver?

2 carries for 14 yards. i said before the game started that he probably would not run more than a few times in this game. he's #3 on the depth chart for a reason.

Did you actually even watch the whole game? Don't jump on stats..... watch the whole game. Even Rodgers was cussing about his easy drops.
