Rodgers is damaged goods!

We need another WR that is a difference maker. A selection in round 1 or 2, IMO. That will make a big difference. As we know, the o-line needs to be fixed.

I do not disagree with TW. Those collar bone injuries have taken a toll. Its has had to have taken a toll. That is why I had the collar bone injuries at #1 on my list. :)

There's a number of WR's in free agency that could fill the bill as a solid #2 WR...........Chris Hogan, Jordan Mattews, Kelvin Benjamin to name just a few.

Since WR's take 2 or more years to fully develop, I'd favor the FA route.

If you've had a broken collar bone, you know the toll it takes. I had one, playing baseball. After it healed, things were never the same. I had a decent jump shot in basketball, but it was gone with the injury. It's just enough of a problem to set the muscle memory sequence slightly out of sync. I never did get it back.

May not be true for everyone though.

I had a buddy growing up, and I broke his collarbone playing sandlot football in junior high. He went on to be an all conference pitcher in baseball and was great in American Legion baseball as well.

Not those 3, maybe Hogan but is he an upgrade?

Rodgers injury is between his ears.

If he'd get the ball out on schedule to shorter quick hitting routes he'd get hit less often and be less banged up. But, that's not going to happen.

In reverse, my oldest Son. He had a 92 MPH fastball that moved in high school. Averaged 11 strike outs per 7 innings. Could hit the corners, and was lights out. Pitched two straight no-hitters his sophomore year, and was 8-1. The only loss on way to state tournament. He started his Jr year with a one-hitter, hurt his ankle sliding into 2nd base, and pitched two innings before the coach figured out he was hurting. They took him out, ended up with his foot in a boot for three weeks, then started throwing on the side. He never got his speed above 84 MPH after that, and the movement was gone. He was a sitting duck on the mound because he hadn't developed a real curve. His off speed pitch was normally about 85, and it ended up in the high 70s, and was easily hit. His pitching days were over, simply because he pitched two extra innings on a sprained ankle.

So, I do understand it can go the other way in a flash. But, we can't be sure on anything with Rodgers.
