Post Game Thread: Seattle defeats Green Bay 27-24

I'm not saying that we have elite talent on this team (frankly, every team has weaknesses) but we've lost a lot of close games on the road; this team could/should be at worst 7-3 right now. Too many mistakes (coaching), officiating has not been favorable towards us, and what I see with AR is that he's looking for the big play all the time - he's trying too hard. But the fact is, MM gets out coached every week - and then we HAVE to rely on AR to win the game for us.

I'm not even 100% confident McCarthy will be fired in the off-season. The Packers organization is the type to act like this season was a fluke and that McCarthy deserves one more season. I'm not even trying to be funny.

Let's see -

- AR playing below par - check
- MM with a poor 2nd half game plan, with no running game - check
- defense just good enough to win, but leaky at just the wrong moments - check
- O-line allowing pressure too regularly in the 2nd half - check
- special teams doing nothing special - check

Yup, that was a 2018 Packer game last night

Unfortunately, you probably will be right. The injury excuse has been a crutch for several years.

I didn't see the second half. But after the first I went to bed expecting them to pull out a win.

I've been on the fire MM wagon for a couple seasons now. I cannot imagine the BOD looking at this cluster f and not demanding a change.

MM is a lazy OC .. this whole 'i create mismatches, call packages' BS is just code for I'm too lazy to really jump in and scheme people open and scheme to beat defenses. It's a copp out plain and simple. And for years Arod bailed his a## out with stellar play. Guys like Jennings/Nelson/Jones/Cobb/Finley and a good OL also made it easy to overcome bad game plans.

Now we see MMs mediocrity laid bare. MM doesn't have it... He can't hack it and instead of wasting more years of your star QBs life how bout they just make a change now.

My big fear is that GB waits too long after the season and misses out on the top tier potential coaches.

Say what you want about him Demarious Randall was 100 percent correct when he said there was no accountability on this team. And it all starts with Murphy not holding his guys accountable at the top.

If team is going to fire MM you do it on 12/31/18 day after last game move on right away start talking lining up interviews with coaches not in playoffs and trying to arrange interviews with coaches in playoffs you would like to interview.

I know that some of you as well as the media will rip AR for his play last night and it is deserved on certain plays. But he had one of his highest completion percentages and 2TD's and O INT's. He missed Jones underneath a few times which I absolutely fault him for but it comes down to these things offensively why we are inconsistent. AR is not the reason why we lost the game last night.

1) We have a bad o-line. Bak and Linsley are all we have. We need an overhaul.
2) Our young WR's are still not doing what they are supposed to all the time. Timing is off and that is due to them being rookies and AR not practicing all year except recently.
3) We do not run the football. Yes, Jones averaged only 3.8 yards per carry last night but you do not only run the ball 12 times on a team that gives up 5 yards per carry on average. We ran the ball only 4 times in the 2nd half and 1 time the last 3 series. MM is one of the worst, least creative play callers I have ever seen. This also does not help the o-line in pass blocking or AR trying to pass the football due to no play action. Notice we scored only 3 points in the 2nd half and barely used Jones and the running game.

Like we have said, the slate needs to be wiped completely. All new coaching staff and a ton of players released. Then build in the draft and get some solid FA's. Maybe then and only then will we have a shot to get back to the playoffs.

Adams and Jones continue to be impressive. Fack was a one man wrecking crew. MM is steadfast in his offensive vison and any amount of heat, will not change it. I would not be against just letting him go now. Just send the message that GB is ready for a new direction.

If we had a single owner would wait until eliminated until after out of play off contention.

Of course of a single owner odds are the move to fire MM would have came after the Sea playoff let down years ago.

But this us GB. If fired at all won't be until after the season at the earliest if at all. But it is finally sounding like he will and talk is he will be Cleveland's next HC
