Jonathan Gannon: "I told the players - this is gonna be a little different for them because as we're teaching them things, they're gonna see film of Philadelphia, Arizona, Green Bay ... Alabama, Georgia.' I don't really get caught up in 'This is my playbook, this is what we're gonna run.'"This is gonna be a new system. This is gonna be the 2026 Green Bay Packers."
Gannon: "I learned a lot being a head coach for three years. When I got here, it's been cool talking to Matt about certain things. He's very inquisitive, bouncing things off everybody on his staff. He has a good way about him. That was appealing coming here."
Jonathan Gannon on Zaire Franklin: "(The Packers) asked me about Zaire. Kind of like Hargrave, team-first guy, tough as nails and very smart. Obviously had a very productive career & excited to add him."

The Green Bay Packers have hired Jake Flint as a strength & conditioning assistant. Head Coach Matt LaFleur made the announcement on Monday.
Flint joins Green Bay after spending the past four seasons (2022-25) as the director of athletic development at Louisiana State University. Prior to joining the LSU staff in December 2021, Flint spent 12 years at the University of Notre Dame (2010-21) on the strength and conditioning staff, serving as co-director for the last five seasons. He came to the Irish after working as a member of the strength and conditioning staff at the University of Cincinnati from 2007-09. The former walk-on at Central Michigan University worked as a staff assistant at his alma mater in 2006, serving primarily in the weight room while also assisting with the development of the running backs.

I don't even know who's out there in the QB market right now
I would have preferred Jimmy Garoppolo, Taylor turns 37 in training camp, Last year, the Jets went 1-3 in his four starts. He completed 59.7 percent of his passes with five touchdowns, five interceptions and a 72.9 passer rating.

Heck Easton Stick is a better gamble, > Stick, who will turn 31 early in the season, was a fifth-round pick by the Chargers in 2019. He wound up starting four games for them in 2023. While he was only 1-3, he was a respectable 63.8 percent with three touchdowns, one interception and an 85.6 passer rating.
