You can't build a program that way anymore... I get your point, but there is a reason we are where we are, and the WFCA pushing WISCO kids down their throat is a big one. If folks want a consistant winner, they need to get over trying to do things like it's 1995.I agree with you Mark except for one thing.
I think the Homegrown kid that's always dreamed of being a Badger and gets a shot, might, just might show up with a great attitude and hustle and outperform the guys we are getting from elsewhere and could turn the culture / attitude of the program around.
I'm not saying look out 'Bama. But, they've been miserable in skill, knowledge, attitude, and hustle for the past few years and have literally quit when the going got tough. Maybe just maybe an attitude adjustment can turn things a bit.
I've got to hope
Again.... Congress can't overrule SCOTUS, nor can the President, which is why no one has done anything. The whole deal is ensconced in that ruling.NCAA passed transfer rule but pretty much saying 1st time it happens will go to court and NCAA will lose. Everyone saying the NCAA pretty much a paper tiger at this point and unless Congress acts to give them protection NCAA rules don't exist anymore. Talked about a CBA but why would the players choose that since right now they hold all the cards they can get paid whatever they want, leave schools whenever they want, not have to pay back any NIL money if they leave. The NCAA and schools have nothing to offer the players and the players only have stuff to lose and nothing to gain.

NCAA imposes steep penalties for 'ghost' transfers, but many already doubt they will stick
The NCAA approved sweeping penalties Wednesday for programs that sign players outside the transfer portal window. Coaches and attorneys across the sport aren't convinced the rules will holdwww.cbssports.com
Congress can pass a new law that could make the SCOTUS ruling obsolete - not that they should, but they could. SCOTUS doesn't make laws, they make rulings in the application of law.Again.... I'm not disagreeing. You can't build a program that way anymore... I get your point, but there is a reason we are where we are, and the WFCA pushing WISCO kids down their throat is a big one. If folks want a consistant winner, they need to get over trying to do things like it's 1995.
