2025 Badger Football Thread

WI right now is around the breaking even with players they signed in 2025 class who have entered portal. With players who graduated puts UW needing to sign 15-20 guys in the portal to fill out roster.
 
They graduated more than you'd think - 31 guys walked on "Senior Day". I suspect portal losses will be 15-20. To fill the roster I'm thinking they may need more like 25-30 portal guys, at least. It could be more like 35.
 
Kansas offensive tackle Greydon Grimes is entering the transfer portal,

reports. The 6-foot-6, 285-pound OL has three years of eligibility remaining. He's the son of Wisconsin offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes.

Project is probably right. He was a 245# 3-star D-line recruit on 247sports. Maybe the plan was a move to OL all along in his recruitment, but he's clearly working on adding the weight and strength to play OL, so he seems like a work in progress. Young guy who may develop but not likely to contibute right away wherever he goes. If he comes to UW that would be fine but they better bring in a couple more ready-to-play guys in the portal.

if you want to make the big bucks in the nfl, becoming an ol seems like a good career choice. even mediocre ol are in high demand.

He's been in college 2 years. He better get developed soon
