KING: Peyton Manning’s squeaky-clean image was built on lies

Initially, I thought this was written by Peter King. That would have been explosive.
 
wow. just wow. how does manning sleep at night knowing what he did to this woman's career? i just lost all respect for him. if i saw him in person, i'd probably want to spit on him. it was bad enough what he did to her in the locker room, but then to just come back several years later and destroy her entire career? really? that's pathetic.
 
How much play will this really get?

Favre got the snot knocked out of him for awhile...I don't envision Manning to even sniff half that publicity. The Manning machine rivals the Clinton regime in the suppression of the facts.

It's sad, but he probably is untouchable right now. I don't expect much to come of it.

Why now? It's been out there for a long time. Now it's an issue? So many double standards in this country, especially when dealing with pro football.
 
Looks like it's gaining some traction in the media. I can imagine that while he was playing, there was some type of reprisal fear to exposing this story. Now that it looks like he's on his way out, I guess no one really has to kiss his butt, or his family's, anymore.
