Post Game KC Outlasts GB 13-7

It was mechanics. Of course it was. They went wide. He didn't hit it where it should go. Your answer didn't address any of the reasoning, just pointed out obvious results.

Compare it to golf if you'd like, but remember, in golf, it's all on the guy swinging the club. Even then, a noise alone can be enough of a distraction to throw the golfer off, and create a bad shot. So, amplify this to a kicker, where others are part of the equation, and you might find that it amounts to more than his mechanics were off. Even a ball placed 1" off center where it should be placed can create a lot of movement left or right because the kicker has already started his motion and picked the spot where he will make impact on the ball. He doesn't decide that as he plants his foot and starts his leg swing. By then, he has very little options. Even a tilt, or a little too much pressure on the ball by the holder can cause a kick to go low, and be blocked. Lots of variables. Not all mechanics by the kicker.
I get that but when each miss is wide left it’s more than snap and placement. If he was slicing. It and hooking yeah it’s more than mechanics. If you consistently hook a kick it also could be the leg and body is moving to fast thru the kick. Each kick missed has been wide left. Yeah in golf it’s the swing but the swing is not a simple fix. It’s hips and leg and yes footwork. You tend to overcompensate. If he slices a kick it’s similar to golf, not drawing it in. Snapper has changed but it’s still all wide left. That’s telling

What's telling is that the placement of the ball could equally be wrong. Think of it like shooting a rifle. A slight difference in aim 40 yards away is amplified dramatically over 40 yards. The same with the kick. The kicker has to know that on every kick the ball is exactly where it's supposed to be. They even designate the spot on the ground, in advance. If that ball is set down one inch to the left, the kick can go quite a ways to the left over 40 yards.

If for one moment Crosby, with all his experience, felt he was forcing the ball left, don't you think he'd adjust? He'd know what to do to correct it. But, if it was a bad placement, and he makes a correction to bring the ball right, he's running the risk of pushing it too far right.

It's not as simple as you'd like to make it.

No, he could not adjust, when you change snappers midstream you completely change the mechanics of what's happening. The sum of the whole procedure was off because of that change alone.

Also, there was a 20 mph wind from the west, if you've never felt a Kansas wind gust it's a real bear to overcome. I think the wind also affected the passing game.

Heard on radio today KC blitzed 51% of the plays the highest amount against GB since 2017 when Rodgers returned off a broken collarbone
Sure felt like more than 51% of the time!

I only was able to watch a small amount of the game. I saw a run game doing pretty well against KC's stacked front because they were all hell bent on getting to Love. It's over and hopefully LaFleur learned that the Pack can run against some stacked boxes - like KC's our ribs are on the Barby Defense.

Regarding kicking field goals and extra points. There's a lot more wrong than compensating for wind, aiming, kicking motion, long snapping, and holding. The blocking has barely been 'look out' blocks. The technical things could get ironed out if somebody blocked a guy or two.

Good things happened. Bad things happened. On to the Seahawks.

A real question, do you play Rodgers after a 2 week break without practice or do you give the ball to Love again?
