Just read about the severity of Montgomerys ankle, including that he had some sort of micro fracture surgery. Regular season PUP looks like a foregone conclusion right now, opening the window for Allison to make the roster. Tons of football left but right now he seems to be getting the offense much better than Janis.
 
geronimo looked okay at family night. at least he caught the ball. my only issue with him is he's another receiver with below average speed.

Sounds like MM wants to keep 6 max. Cobb's not going anywhere, Adams hasn't been great so far but he's a 2nd rounder so he isn't either. Janis has struggled. Abbredaris is shining so far, and the rookie Davis has done OK. Jordy and Monty on PUP.

I wonder if they keep 6, open the season with Montgomery on PUP and make a roster decision down the road when spots open up inevitably due to injury. This is assuming Janis continues to shine in the Jarrett Bush role - ST gunner, spot contributor otherwise. There's a place for a guy like that on every team IMO. If his play falls off on ST then he's looking like a cut.

Thought: Can we please have one year where final roster is determined by talent and NOT Injuries??????

One would hope and think that this team has had more then it' s share of injuries over last few years and are due for a healthy year.

Sounds like Cook made a good "first impression" last night and that Montgomery at least seemed to be running at full speed. Still reading "bad" things about Janis. A general lack of productivity from him in practice. Hopefully he gets it together in the last 4 weeks of camp.
 
Geronimo Allison is having a fantastic TC. Caught 3 TD's in yesterday's practice - 2 from Rodgers in a scout team Red Zone session. 2 more today.
