Let's not condom anything in these forums. Keep that for other lascivious sites.....True but let's see how rounds 2 and 3 unfold before we condom the Packers lack of WR in draft.
Never unfold a round 2 of round 3 condomTrue but let's see how rounds 2 and 3 unfold before we condom the Packers lack of WR in draft.
The weakest link on this D now is really Savage. I wonder if they take a Safety in round 2 or 3. They could replace Savage and not have to worry about giving him the 5-year option and resigning him.
Thoughts?
Jalen PitreNot sold on much for what's left at draft to come in and not be a project at safety.
Position rank 1, big board 17, shades of Larry
Ogunjobi
It was a long road for Wyatt to get to
where he is, but he finally put together his
prodigious physical tools as a redshirt senior.
He's been a healthy part of Georgia's
interior rotation ever since his redshirt
freshman year in 2018 but never really put it
together until last fall. Like others on the
Georgia line, Wyatt is likely to shine even
more when given a role with more freedom,
as he had at the Senior Bowl.
PROS
First step is as good as it gets in the draft class.
Explosive dude.
Ø Cornering ability for a defensive tackle you
don't often see. Can bend back to QBs.
Ø So many schemed rushes to free up blitzing LBs
that hurt his pass-rushing efficiency.
CONS
v Doesn't yet have enough ways to win as a
pass-rusher. All finesse at the moment.
v Average length. First-contact battle isn't where
he wins.
v Listed at 315 pounds but doesn't play up to
that weight
Wyatt wins with elite quickness. He not only possesses linear explosion, but he also has enough
agility to make guards whiff. He does it all well over 300 pounds, which is rare to see.
GET OFF
Wyatt's a versatile defensive tackle capable of lining up anywhere between the tackles. He's at
his best when he can put that first step to good use, but his game can still fit into any scheme.
VERSATILE DT
Wyatt needs to add a physical element to his pass-rushing arsenal. He's an elite athlete for the
position, but he relies on that too much. He could be a bull-rush threat if he wanted to be.
The bottom line
Wyatt has the most all-around skill set in the defensive tackle class and
can make an impact from Day 1.
