With Pick #12 GB Selects Rashan Gary DE/OLB Michigan

Maybe not "in the past", but up tempo has definitely limited teams abilities to substitute.
 
I heard yesterday that he missed 3 games and parts of 2 others last year because of his shoulder problem.

I'm not great at figuring when and where to draft a guy, but that alone would've been a big ol'"nope" from me at 12.
 
he started the first five games, and was injured in the fifth game against northwestern. the three games that he missed came immediately after the injury. when he returned, he played in all four remaining games. i don't know if that changes your "nope" or not. but to me it indicates that it wasn't a major injury.
