Agree. But Congress loves to make things look like they are in it to protect “the little guy”.

Congress has been hell bent the last decade or so to strip the league of its anti trust exemption especially during the “take a knee” issues. It’s good to get a scape goat especially one who resides in your own geographic area.

What’s strange to me you would think that league auditors would catch something like this or the very least other teams should catch this. There has to or you would think some accounting protocols in place

The league does not care. It’s collateral damage they brush to the side while they count the zeros on their bank account

That’s not a crime unless if qualifies as assault.

Borders/state lines. It's easy to end up going from Virginia to DC, to Maryland with a woman and therefore it can be classified as a federal crime, if there is any evidence that the reason was for sexual purposes.

The Feds are not even touching this. It’s Congress which has no real power. Now the ticket issue could be of some interest depending how it impacts taxes but even that’s a reach
