You're still missing it dude, the MVP year was last year. He will be gauged on this season. He's going to be 38. You can not go after a 38 yr player like that UNLESS you think he's the last piece to the puzzle and even then it's iffy at best.
 
My best case that happens Rodgers plays great get a 1st and 3rd round pick for him. Adams won't agree to new deal tags gets traded for 1st round pick.

Worst case Rodgers gets serious injury late in season that will lead him to missing part of 2022 and makes him untradeable leading into walk year were you can't tag him. Adams signs a big money contract and under performs after it.

Denver I think seems Rodgers as Manning 2.0. Might not be his self from his prime but is good enough to improve the offense and have the defense help carry the team into a championship contender.
