Rodgers.... I'll hit you with the same as RB we really don't fully know what his issues are because he mumbled his way through the one interview he gave in some rambling context. sh)) All I get from GB is" We know about it and are trying to work through this" bh)

Employee..... I don't like the working conditions and want changes or else! rant))shkfst

Employer: rofl( Tough your under contract get your ass back to work. nono)

Rodgers doesn't have a whole lot to stand on here with the perspective he's provided and he stands to lose greedy(greedy(greedy(

To quote Colin..... GB says "Were not budging"

And it's unfortunate that professional sports don't mirror the real world. I know we have been down that rabbit hole and we can agree to disagree on much of that. One year "your under contract", and then some get the "well I know you have a contract but you are a "cap causality" now. Oh I know its the CBA and both sides agree but its a business on both sides of the table and each side is to blame for that. There are times when you need to make a decision whats best in both the long term and short term for the organization. Take the contract stuff aside. If you know you have a disgruntled diva pompous ass star, cut bait. If you want the distraction of that pompous ass diva star well you made that bed sleep in it and own it. To me its an easy call

I think he was talking about more players and maybe others in the organization than himself. He also used the word culture. And he’s not the only “insider” who has questioned the organization communications and people skills
I still don’t see how this is a problem that justifies shooting his way out of town. It’s like two 80 year olds getting divorced. Nothing change since he signed that deal in 2018, the Packer way didn’t change. His crap about culture is nonsense. If you are dumping on team culture while also being the star QB for 16 years, guess what? You’re dumping on yourself, because he has as much to do with that stuff as Murphy does.

I think your point about him going out on his own terms is what it’s all about, and don’t be a chump - those terms involve $$$

You might be right but I've always had a sense that the GB organization for decades has been a bit "stiff" when it comes to outside opinions and interference. Harlan understood along with Holmgren and Wolf that you as an organization you have to evolve. I know its small stuff like bringing barbers up from Milwaukee for the African American players and bringing in soul food. It changed the culture. Murphy does not seem as open, he is an Athletic Director from a private school who ran the show. Old school player also. He changed the structure. Something changed internally. Maybe Rodgers thought that would change, Gute was not Ted...yada yada yada. Not defending Rodgers but he also went Hollywood in his personal life. I dont think hes been happy in GB for a few years, reality has set in and he wants out. Not ideal and yeah hes a pompous ass

Professional sports is way too different from "the real world" for them to mirror. First, in the real world, if you sign a contract, it's usually not out in the open for everyone to see, to know whether "person A is now the highest paid person in that job." Second, in the real world if you want to change jobs, if you sign a contract normally it includes a "non-compete" clause - which means you can't compete against your current employer for usually at least 1 year. However, in the real world, just like sports - if you fail to live up to the terms of your contract, you can be terminated. And if the employer wants the input of any employee (real world or sports), it's up to management to decide what input they want, it's not up to the employee to dictate.

And non competes are not worth the cost of the paper it’s printed on in the vast majority of cases but I digress. Again I don’t think this debacle is about input on personal or the roster. To Rodgers it’s philosophical, to the organization it’s business. I’ve been on record that the distraction is not worth the drama. Stop with the line in the sand BS on both sides and if you can’t find common ground get a divorce. And unfortunately I don’t think common ground exits unless one side does a 180 and I don’t think either party will until it’s too late. I hope I’m wrong

Thing is you can't give in everytime a player throws a fit and demands to be traded. Will show other players they can do the same.
sure. if the other player is a 3-time nfl mvp and among the best players to ever play the game.
