Murphy stood up to Aaron when he said, "Don't be the problem." He also took authority on his own, so the other guys wouldn't have to take the brunt of Aaron's bullshit. He's done all right.

He may come across as bumbling and look like Alfred E Neuman, but he hired Gutey and Matt. That's a significant transition. Now if he can keep Aaron off white powder in the playoffs, maybe we can bring home a trophy.

Yes but issue was taking Love a needed thing? Or even worse trading up for him

Well maybe but the reality was he had 2 choices. One was bowing to 12 or sit back and let him sit and retire which was the more nuclear option. Again the problem was the extension which was poorly negotiated but it is what it is

Also the ext wsa likley the wrong term long option over moving on and taking your lumps now.

Again the extension had to be made because the alternative was him sitting or walking + the big dead cap hit + Love starting. And the extension was not long term. Basically 2 years
