I'm thinking this is the most plausible scenario for the reasons you listed, but like everything, you just never know what this FO is going to do.The more I think about it, Love is here to stay. I say that because he's a known quantity, in as much as he knows the Packers system, can step in and play if necessary, is under contract for an extended period of time at a reasonable price for a QB, and even though he hasn't shown much, he will have the time to reach his highest potential as Rodgers' caddie.
Then there's salary cap. Cutting him means dead cap, and right now, it's not more of something the Packers need to look at.
