Rodgers Wants Out

It's honorable to admit that. I was a salary cap novice. After reading all the posts here, rhe information provided, no way, from a numbers standpoint, did I ever think they would be able to sign Rodgers and Adams. Now Adams hasn't been signed yet but that's looking more and more likely. I forget the guy who was tweeting all the salary cap info but it looked damning. Somehow the FO is doing the cap gymnastics necessary.

In other words, I remain a salary cap novice and I'm not ashamed to admit it!
You’re in good company Bud

It wasn't just the cap, it's everything else - the past history, the poor performance in big games, the sunk costs of Love, the aging roster around him, and yes, the cap situation. I just couldn't fathom how he'd want to come back, or how the team would really want him back all that badly. I clearly mis-read it all, including what I thought I knew about Rodgers the man. I thought he was still a mountain lion, but really he seems like a fat tabby house cat who likes his bowl full and his belly scratched.

Lots of Rodgers dislike.

I wanted to trade him way back because of his football player capital. I think we could have gotten close to what the Lions got for Stafford or the Seahawks just got for Wilson. I believe our Front Office has mucked this up from the beginning.

I don't think Rodgers is a bad guy. He is different than I. But, while we didn't know what he was going to do - and all the BS on what he was going to do was just talking pinheads - I have a real strong feeling the Packers front office was in close communication with him discussing options and how they could make certain things work and what it would cost in terms of money and players. If they weren't, I don't think we ever get to the situation we have today.

Now, we just have to see it play out. That's not a statement of confidence that we're going to bring back a Lombardi.

I know that Rodgers can act like a prima donna. And he can get on my nerves as well. But he has been playing well. Would I have loved to have gone to the SB? Yes. Was I disappointed? Yes. But I enjoyed the season because we had a winning season.

I would have been ok with him leaving. But I am also ok with him coming back. I find a winning season with the possibility of going to the SB much more enjoyable than no chance at all.
