Before my time following the Packers, but dementia is a horrible way to go. Passing onto peaceful rest is sometimes a blessing. I hope he held on to the memory of saving a drowning man in 1980 as long as he could.

One day someone will do a study of dementia and head trauma. Wonder what those results will be for NFL players...
