Post Game Thread : Packers Win The North 31-24 Over Lions

I didn't get to watch the game so of course they won.. You're welcome ;)

I'm just lookin at stats here, but Cook has pretty firmly taken then #1 TE position. And what did they feed Geronimo this week? Wow.. Not sure Gb will even need Cobb next year.. But we've seen a couple game bursts in this league before. We will see what he does in the playoffs.

Davante Adams seems to be that guy every FF manager hates. The one who poaches TD's near the goal line. I'm not sure Richard Rodgers is even on the roster next year. Cook takes his place between the 20's and Adams is poaching TD's near the goal line.

Going soft on DEF and not finishing when you have a lead will kill you in the playoffs as NYG, SEA, ARI playoff games all attest to.

I'll save my playoff thoughts for those threads.

Bottom line they ran the table. I didn't think they could do it. But what the last games have shown is that it's all up to Arod. The team and coaches simply cannot handle it unless Arod is on fire. Lets hope he stays that way and the chip on his shoulder from so many mid season doubters is a big one.

You can't watch next week. ;)

Didn't Bulaga go back in? From all reports Spriggs looked fine in the locker room after the game.
I thought so too. Spriggs jogged off the field. I'm more concerned about the secondary. WAY MORE CONCERNED! Casey Hayward would look really good right now. But if Ted re-signed him, they wouldn't be $50 mill under the cap next year.

I am floored/shocked/flabbergasted at how this defense held up in the second half. I mean we were playing with 1 actual CB. And our slowest CB at that. I don't know what to think about Capers right now. The whole thing was falling apart and somehow he was able to hold it together with duct tape and spit. Hope Rollins is OK but Randall looks lost and disinterested. It's telling that when Burnett and Hyde were forced to play CB, they were actually physical enough to get the job done, not that it was pretty. Means the other two play so soft and with such lousy technique, doesn't mater what else they can do athletically they're liabilities.

AR, what else can you say. He started off scatter shot but really elevated him game in the second half and ran the offense. 40 pass TD, 4 rush TD - all things considered this may have been his second best season after 2011, and he had a lot less talent on the outside to work with this year.

Kudos to MM for righting the ship and to everyone else in that room for staying together and taking home another NFCN crown. Playoffs for 8 straight seasons, joining Tom Landry, Chuck Noll and Bill Belichick as the only coaches to do that. These are the good old days we'll be looking back on some day, let's enjoy it and maybe we'll make a little surprise run, who knows.

I honestly do not think we will miss Rollins. It is more of a depth issue. I think we might have to go with Hyde and Burnett playing CB next week. Randall is a joke right now.

Kudos to the Packers for turning the season around when things were going south. Amazing win yesterday. Not sure how defense kept Detroit out of the end zone.
Tough game coming up. Not sure how they can pull this out.FCC(

This was a game where a QB improvised a win by using the scramble drills they use at the end of practice as the main part of their offense in a game. It worked because nobody in the stadium had a clue what was going to happen. Receivers did their job, by working back to the ball, and finding holes in the defense, where they could sit down, and let Rodgers find them.

This is exactly why Rodgers is in the MVP conversation.

Last year when healthy Randall played pretty well - for a rookie. I truly believe he being injured is a major reason why he is struggling this year. With the CB spot so banged up I hope Rollins can play this weekend.

Even with OBJ the Giant's offense isn't as good as Detroit's. They really don't have a running game to speak of. Their O line isn't all that hot so hopefully we can pressure Eli into making a couple of mistakes with pressure so we can get a turnover or 2.

i don't know. after watching the announcers point out just how bad we are defending the pass on the right side, i think eli is going to pick us apart. i would just keep sending obj down the right sideline.

Unfortunately I agree. Their defense looks pretty good as well. At least they did while playing Washington.
