Post Game Packers Defeat Washington 27-18

GB has played very well over the last 4 days.

Good: Defense they have been monsters just putting pressure on Goff and Daniels all the time. Can't ask much more then what they have done.

Bad: QB and WR timing still see off. Hopefully Love will start hitting more of these deep passes with his WR soon

Ugly: OL play no easy way to cut it but the OL is not very good. They can't open holes in the run game and if they bring the blitz Love has zero time to do anything.

Zach Tom is dealing with a torn oblique muscle; the OL is already banged up. GB MUST go secure OL help and another depth cover corner to make a run. Not being a Debbie Downer, but it's a long season and the depth isn't there right now.
2-0, everyone's gunning for you going forward.
This team can go a ways IF they do it right in the front office.

So despite how bad Belton was in his first series he ended up playing most of the game at RT. He played 46 out of 63 snaps at RT while Kinnard played the other 17 snaps.

Micah Parsons snap count seems to be gone already. Parsons played 44 out of 65 snaps (68%) of the plays in week 2 and played the most snaps out of any DE.

Wyatt was a lock on the OL playing 49 out of 65 snaps. Hopefully he can hold up at this pace.

Despite a big week last week Wooden saw his role decrease as Karl Brooks out snapped him 44 to 21 snaps.

At LB GB pretty much only played 2 LB in the game with Walker playing all the snaps and Cooper just missing 1. Outside of that McDuffie was on the field for only 7 snaps. Hopper and Nieman only played ST. Hopper has to start becoming a concern. A 3rd round pick who is never getting any playing time outside of ST.

In the Secondary GB ran a lot of different looks it seems. Nixon was the only CB to play all 65 snaps were Valentine played 38 and Hobbs 31 snaps

At Safety both McKinney and Williams were on the field for all the snaps on defense. Bullard was in for all but 10 snaps mostly as the slot defender.

Did ML invent OL rotations? I don’t remember ever seeing another team do this but he’s done it for years and generally gotten away with it.

I get wanting to develop your players but I would probably let Belton marinate a bit more at this point and go with Kinnard. You can live with his mistakes but you can't live with penalties like the ones he's taken, and they knew he was a project when they drafted him. My first thought was that if they wanted to get him on the field then install a U-71 type package for him, but then again, Tucker Kraft can already do that. Kraft can dig out an edge and can also leak out for a TD like we saw last night, why take him off the field?

Who knows what Detroit and Washington look like later in the year—maybe they’ll be down and these wins look pretty mid in hindsight. But these are definitely two you have circled on the schedule in August, with all our historical issues getting going early in the year, and going up against two teams in five days with a combined 27 wins last year. And to not only win but look clearly superior in both is a really encouraging sign.

Great start to the year, and still plenty of room to grow. Get the o-line healthy on the mini-bye and keep it rolling now.
