Post Game Browns Beat Green Bay 13-10

I didn't get to see the game but this is my concern. You had 10 days to prepare for the Cleveland Browns and you looked like trash on offense and STs. I also heard people say there was no energy.

I don't get that.

Both the Lions and Washington were run blitzing like crazy, GB did fantastic picking it up and Love was clean. They were even getting guys open on max protect stuff.

The Browns rushed 4. They have a lot of really good DL and that’s to say nothing of Garrett. GB had to keep guys in just block those 4 which left CLE with lots of guys in coverage and fewer options for Love. That’s why every team wants to be able to rush with just 4. That’s the ideal but way easier said than done.
Yes Cleveland has good front for great even. But still I don't think this team can pick up a zero blitz. Even more so if you are using backup OL and a TE that is not 100%.

It’s an X’s and O’s question but I thought zero blitz’s were more about the QB than the line. You have to know where it’s coming from and know where a hot read is. The OL can’t pick up everyone.

Packers have 28 penalties in 3 games. That has to be something that will drive ML nuts.

They weren't zero blitzs... they were twisting and stunting with 4... not blitzing and the center missed those 3 times, RG missed 2... LG missed 2 and thats just what I saw. They got consistant pressure without blitzing. @GBP4EVER tagging you... not zero blitzing

Yes but saying that teams that don't have the DL Cleveland does would not zero blitzing a lot make sense put pressure on the OL and Love to hit the wide open WR/TE that zero blitzing frees up?

That's what makes this OL so concerning. Schwartz always has good defenses and they are usually technically sound. I worry that this is out there on film now, and we'll see other teams try and at least replicate this. I know not many, if any, have DLine like Cleveland but be sure, others will tey and exploit the OLine in a similar way.

This has been an issue for this team for a couple years honestly. Something with the coaching maybe, the way they’re being taught?

Time out here, your all missing some stuff here:

First off, and you can't overstate this...The Browns are the #1-ranked defense in the NFL. That was the toughest D we played all year.
Second, they went in with 5 guys on OL thinking that was our 5... lost 2 fairly quickly... so that's no little deal then after Morgan made a crap ton of mistakes they shook it up again... musical chairs vs any NFL D-line is tough...but vs this one Jesus Murphy.. you're just asking for trouble.
Third, the same subject our OL is a cluster of crap... After that, starting at 5, it goes to hell in a handbasket. Gute damn well better address it and don't give me any bullcrap, no one will move anyone... next year's draft is f'ed anyway.. offer a 3rd and a 5th and go get a swing T/G that can block.
Fourth, I have said it here already, but the lack of understanding in this team's route concepts is mind-boggling. They run synced timing routes to spots. Balls are gone. If the guys are not there or the route gets disrupted or undercut, it doesn't end well. We've been having this conversation since the preseason of ML's first year, and it still hasn't changed.
Fifth, Kraft missed the block on the blocked FG, he's hurt and played his ass off, but for the love of god, he does not need to be in on teams.. which leads to
Sixth.. we had two open roster spots..should have called up Welch and Hardman today. Stop playing Kraft and Golden on teams.
Last but not least, we are only in week 3... a lot of season left. No, we are not the second coming of the undefeated Fins... we are also not the 1985 GB Packers who were crap.

I thought this would be an ugly game. I expected we'd win(now I expect some HUGE overreactions to this loss... like we have the dumbest coach in the NFL). We didn't. The offense is most certainly to blame. The defense did it's job.

Things like this happen. I remember one of the SB teams lost to a 0-9 or 0-10 Colts team(a really bad Colts team anyway).

I don't think anything changed. Love threw a terrible pick. He pre-determined where the ball was going. We've seen this with the QBs we've had, we've seen it in the past with Rodgers, Favre... pretty much any QB. You speed up their internal clock, they make bad decisions. That's why Myles Garrett got paid 40.5M and that's why I thought Graham was a great pick(as well as Kris Jenkins). I don't know who their other edges were, but they were good

I think they'll come out and... as the kids say, go belt to ass on the Cowboys next week in a game they'll... DEFINITELY be fired up for and a game in which they're not going to have to deal with a great pass rush(if they had ONE guy like Garrett... I might be concerned).

So... they lost a game vs an AFC team. They beat two teams they SHOULD be battling HFA for and this game was bad. They still should have won, but... like Forrest Gump said, "it happens."
