Packers sign TE Lance Kendricks

Kendricks deal really works pretty well for both parties. The Packers get a relatively affordable deal for a solid back-up TE. Kendricks get's some decent up front money and with the way it's structured, he likely will get the full 2nd year of the deal as well. There is no CAP incentive to get rid of him. He will likely get the full 2 years and $4mil.

Lance Kendricks' deal with the Packers: two years, $4 million including a $1.2 million signing bonus. Base salaries are $800,000 this season and $1.25 million next season. He has per-game roster bonuses of $18,750 in each season, up to $300,000 per year, and $75,000 in workout bonuses each year. There's also $600,000 in incentives and escalators for 2018
Well, after reading that, I think CD is right and TT won't invest a draft pick in TE. Which is too bad because it is a nice class of TEs this year. Bennett, Kendricks and Rodgers plus a UDFA or Sanland from the practice squad.
