Packers 2026/27 Season Thread

ESPN sources: Green Bay WR Christian Watson and the Packers reached agreement today on a four-year, $110.5 million contract extension that includes a $31 million signing bonus.
That looks like a great deal for both sides, similar to Reed. That's almost $50m less in signing bonus than Pierce

Yes, That's why I am waiting to see if there is anything else in there besides a SB. Is there a option bonus in there in 2027 that is pretty much guarateed money?

To me the amount is mind boggling. But, it's actually less than I thought it'd be. I was anticipating him demanding top money and claiming 'the system' was preventing him from putting up the huge numbers.

I would have liked to see a few games production, but i think RP is correct.

i anticipated Watson would get his contract at Thanksgiving as the Pack seems to do. If Kraft comes back, I now anticipate he gets his deal at Thanksgiving

@RapSheet
on a potential Tucker Kraft extension this offseason:"I would consider Tucker Kraft a big time priority for the Green Bay Packers.. you’re talking about a guy who will probably reset the TE market.”

If that happens you are talking 4 years $78-$80 million for Kraft as that would make him the highest paid TE in the league.

As FlaPack often said, it's all about the structure of the contract. Yes, the bonus looks workable compared to some deals. It'll be interesting to see how easily the team can get out after '27 and when the biggest CAP hits occur.
