Packers 2026/27 Season Thread

The Packers have a bunch backup OL on the roster right now. Burton will make the roster and probably Kinnard. So Have like 10 other guys now who will fight for 2-3 backup spots.

Looking at the Packers roster I have 47 locks to make the roster well 46 if you count Parsons starting on PUP.

Based on the 46 to start the year means that you have the kicker fighting for a spot and leaves 6 open spots. 1-WR spot, 2-OL spot, 1-DL spot, 1-DB spot, 1-Edge spot until Parsons returns.

are you assuming that every draftee makes the final roster?

So any chance if Smackdown wins the kicking job GB could get a draft pick for McManus at end of TC?

highly doubt it. unless there's more than one team interested, they'll just wait until he's released. even then it would be a longshot. and kickers usually get drafted in the late rounds, so would he be worth more than a 7th round pick?

Have to see how Smack handles directional KOs and the landing zone stuff. One quiet area where ST gave up a lot of free yards was inability to pooch kick into the landing zone and force guys to return the ball on a bounce or touch it back so the ball comes to the 20 rather than 35. MacManus had too many kicks into the end zone.

i think we should stop talking smack. at least for now. i need to see how training camp and preseason shakes out. i remember when mason crosby had a bad year, the team stuck by him. i'm looking forward to the battle and the preseason smackdown.
