Packers 2026/27 Season Thread

If Denzel Ward is a cap cut should GB look into him? 29 years old and has had some concussions. Would you do something like 3 year deal that has out after year 1?
it sure looked like his productivity took a major dive in 2025. less than half the passes defended in 2025 compared to 2024 and years before that. he did start one less game in 2025 than 2024, but that doesn't explain the major dropoff. but he still held opposing qbs to a qb rating of 88.1 so he's still a decent starting cb.

Pocic ranked 12th as starting center though PFF had Jenkins ranked 9th to take the rankings with grain of salt.
Well the Shedeur fans said the entire offensive line for the Browns was crap - but their rankings don’t quite tell that story.

i know this is the packers thread, but since i mentioned the browns ol being available in free agency, i thought it would be okay to post this here.

the browns are so messed up. 26% of their cap is going to deshaun watson, who probably won't play. his $230m contract was fully guaranteed and he has a no-trade clause in his contract. the team is already almost $20m over the cap, and the cap is weighed down by several void years, the two largest being the two starting guards, bitonio and teller (total $44.8m). total cap charges for void years is $63.4m. total cap charge for watson is $80.7m. plus another $40m in dead money. so $184m total spent on players that won't even be playing for them in 2026. that's insane. (i could be wrong about watson - he might actually play, but i wouldn't count on it).

If all the Packers Offensive Line were free agents, I wouldn't care.

I know it would be scary. But, 5 rookies with a  good attitude of keep your stinkin' hands off my Quarterback, get the hell out of the way my running backs, and don't you dare even think about that against my teammates who are hungry couldn't do worse or much worse as they learn the position - and, I doubt getting manhandled at the end of the season would have happened. I think the upside outweighs any experience immediate minor performance benefit from staying the same.

I really think we need to clean house of the offensive line room.

My only concern would be Gute and company repopulating the offensive line room as they haven't brought me 1 offensive lineman that I'd hang a hat on.
