That's what I expected. Policy is an attorney, the risk to move on was greater than keeping him and his system.
I think the question becomes, how much is Policy willing to spend on ML plus a quality staff? There's some similarity to the Badgers issues here - with them it's players, in GB it's coaches. Good people demand money, if you're not willing to pay them then you're falling behind.

True... we also have player issues in terms of quality, but that's a different thread we need to start.
 


Packers media is really parsing and IMO overthinking this one. Some speculating that GB will trade ML to another team if they can't work out a deal. To me, if the org says they're trying to work out a deal, then they're going to work out a deal. They can't afford to sit around and drag it out for two weeks while the entire coaching cycle passes them by.
 
Also, in case this isn't clear already, what is the dog that isn't barking right now? Brian Gutekunst's extension is already done. Signed sealed delivered.
