I'm going to post this again because it's been the case since the 90's, the HC in GB hires the assistant coaches, coordinators have little to no say, they can suggest a guy, but ultimately MLF hires them. The caveat here, and we now know it to be true, is that MLF has a budget on who he can and cannot hire, so yes, that limits the pool.

Not arguing. But, if Gannon doesn't get a big say in hiring defensive assistants that's a big mistake. The assistants must have his vision

ML may have final say, but I sure hope Gannon's opinion is considered.
