Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

He runs a 4.33 40.... KC used him for other things. He's a UGA guy. I know my bulldogs, Mecole can fly
when KC first drafted him he had some success - opposite Hill. but then he didn't do much after that - there's some options with him.

With the Hardman signing it partly takes a need off the table for the draft. It feels like DT & Edge are moving to the top of the draft list, and are the most likely picks in RDs 1 & 2. There's depth at both positions in this draft. After that I see WR/OL/CB at 3, 4, & 5, not necessarily in that order.

I could see them doubling up at DT - a Kenny Clark replacement early and likely a TJ Slayton replacement early on Day 3. (Derrick Harmon from Oregon looks like a Rd1 option. Plus, Gute, Sullivan, and practically the whole scouting staff were at the Oregon pro-day yesterday.) I also saw double ups at WR and CB before the Hobbs and Hardman signings, now, not so much of a need at either position.

I think OL will happen early Day 3. A guy who looks kinda Packer-type is Charles Grant. Athletic, long-armed, small school guy who's played mostly tackle and fits the 6'5"-310# size they seen to prefer. Likely needs a year or two of development in moving up to the NFL from the FCS level.

Hardman is only a 1 year deal and a return man back end of the depth chart player. I am still looking at WR in rounds 2 or 3. IMO Edge is an overstated need. GB has dumped a lot of money and draft picks into edge and keep missing it. I rather not spend another high pick on a edge that is likely going to be a project player which is GB's MO to draft a high talent guy but will need a lot of work to bring it out.

My biggest needs are still CB, then DT, then WR. Day 3 I look for dept at edge another DT & CB and maybe a OL.

I don’t disagree but what is getting really annoying is that DT and Edge are AWLAYS at the top of GB draft board. It’s one of the big failures of the TT/Gutey years.

DT and edge are at the top of everyone's draft board. GB could have a better process for identifying fits and effective players but really so can everyone else. If anything GB hasn't been aggressive enough drafting those guys early.

The thing that will be interesting in the draft if they draft 2 or 3 DT's will they then pass on Wyatt 5th year?

Wyatt is on the verge of qualifying for AARP, don't build around him.
Though it seems he has not played a ton of snaps so despite him being what 28-29 when rookie deal is over would a 3-4 year deal be still ok on him? Granted that could be the last contract for him as he's 31-33 when that would be up.
