Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

based on ken ingalls' 2026 cap numbers, we are going to be the youngest team in the league again, and get lots of comp picks for players we lose in free agency. you can't field a team with only 29 players, and a bunch of high-dollar contracts are going to have to go in order for us to pay 41 more players.

Ingalls number are interesting, and look a little worrisome at first glance, but I think things will take care of themselves pretty easily. First off, it's speculated that the CAP will go up another $20-25mil or so. I think it's safe to assume Alexander will be gone soon, and Clark won't be there in 2026. With those two deals gone look like they will save between $31-48mil depending on the timing of the trades/releases for them.

hope you are correct, but let's not forget, a lot of rookie contracts are coming off the books next year. that's the primary reason that only 27 players are shown as being under contract. hopefully we can replace many of those rookie contracts with more players still under rookie contracts.

I get the concern, but with the CAP room after JA and KC are off the books being close to $75+mil, they'll have some room to keep a handful or so of the young guys, and yes, they'll need to fill in with 2 drafts worth of picks.

Gary can be shown the door unless he makes a big jump. Paying big money for below average results.

It’s a non issue.

Tom will be extended, I think they will do something with Quay, and Watson might sign a “prove it” deal coming off of ACL surgery. The others can go, and frankly if Walker isn’t their long term LT then they should trade him at the draft and just give that job to Morgan. He is an NFL tackle, those guys make tons of money. Why let him walk for nothing?

i'm with you on that. i'm surprised they haven't traded him already. this is what lance zierlein at nfl.com said in his draft profile of jordan morgan: "He’s a capable run blocker and pass protector, and he features projectable upside with more work. Morgan has the traits and talent to become a solid starting left tackle."

Not getting anything more then a day 3 pick for Walker so might as well keep your depth.
