It’s a hell of a lot of chutzpah from the org to change the position of an established veteran player and then tell him they’re not going to touch his contract and he’s hitting the street next year. This isn’t a guy fighting for a roster spot, he’s a successful veteran player. I know it’s a business but this is one of the rare times where I don’t love how they’ve gone about it.
Thing is you can't redo the contract of every player who bitches about wanting a new deal with one or two years left under contract.
Camp body... maybe a PS guy, but he was just okay at Vandy. We've certainly signed less talented guys to this so no harm, no foul.
packers website still has jenkins listed as guard/tackle. sort of agree that the packers are not likely to extend jenkins. in fact, i wonder if they might be exploring trade options to bring in an experienced center. not saying that they would necessarily trade jenkins for a center though. it will be interesting to see what the starting o-line is going to be this year. hopefully they don't mess around with it so much that it gets fully borked.

that's not really the point. he is an established veteran who has been one of our best ol. they have already moved him around, and he has always played reasonably well. now they want to switch his position again in the final year of his contract, and that could lower his market value - especially if he isn't great at center. i agree with rp.
