Packers 2024-25 Season Thread

Packers will get cap relief next year via having a insurance policy on Jordan Love. When teams have insurance policies on players who miss games and get paid out for those games it counts as cap relief in the following years cap. The Packers carry policies on at least their bigger contract players.

Green Bay is a longtime insurance customer. Love's contract is covered for up to $74.8 million for 2024.

Article says though when NY traded for Rodgers they decided not to pick up a policy on him even though GB had one for Rodgers prior. So the Jets lost out on getting money back on Rodgers deal last year and having gotten cap relief from it this year.

Why not give him a shot. He was a 4th round pick by Washington, but didn't hack it. He's out of Carrolton, TX, and they do come up with some good players.

Sometimes you find a diamond in the rough.

Jordan Morgan not practicing and GB has been working out a ton of OL this week. Wonder if he’s heading to IR?

seems like another packers draft pick that won't play in his first season. i guess he played a little vs. the colts but re-injured his shoulder. is this going to be a chronic injury?

LeFleur and his staff have put together some solid offensive game plans. Well executed too.

On defense, Hafely's logic seems to be getting through to his players. Each week they've gained more confidence. I'm anxious to see how they do against an opportunistic team like the Vikings.

I like the Packers chances to be honest. I think they can win this one, with either Willis or Love.
