Packers 2024-25 Season Thread

I think they take inaccurate throws into account when determining drops. I'm not sure what the exact process is for determining a drop but it's not like anything that touches a WR's fingers counts as a drop, it's more nuanced than that.
where can i find drop rates for individual players?

But, you can't run from it, the Pack receivers drop a lot of balls
Oh I agree, that’s what I’m saying. I may be prejudiced in favor of Love sometimes and say “the WR needs to catch that if it hits his hands” but not all of those are official drops. Even still, the WR have a drop rate around 10%, which is way too high.

nevermind i found something.

wicks has dropped 7 of 24 catchable passes
reed has dropped 6 of 47 catchable passes
doubs has dropped 6 of 40 catchable passes
watson has dropped 1 of 21 catchable passes ???
melton has dropped 0 of 5 catchable passes
heath has dropped 0 of 6 catchable passes
kraft has dropped 5 of 35 catchable passes
sims has dropped 0 of 3 catchable passes
musgrave has dropped 0 of 5 catchable passes

according to my calculations, the overall drop rate is 13.4% (not including running backs). i couldn't find dropped passes stats for running backs.

profootball reference shows that the packers have the highest drop rate in the nfl at 7.8%. but they're showing a total of 25 drops, which is what i had for just the wide receivers. i'm not sure if there are "official" stats for drops, but here is the profootballreference chart for advanced team receiving stats:

Wicks should be benched if he has a drop rate of 1 in 3 catchable passes.

I'm turning into a big fan of Love. But didn't he have a couple of passes that should have been intercepted last week? I'd rather he pushed the envelope less.

Don't disagree at all but he also needs his WR to stop dropping TD and first-down passes. If you take out the 3 deflected off the hands INT and add in the 4 dropped TD his numbers look so much better.

There was only really that Love threw a bad ball that should have been picked. There was a INT but that was a free play ball and all QB's are going to take that shot knowing if it is a pick no big deal it's coming back anyways. There was almost another pick that the DB dropped but that was off the WR's hands and Love can't control when the WR bobbles the ball to allow the DB to pick it. But there was one pass that Love just missed seeing the DB and would have been a pick had the DB not stoned handed it and dropped it.
