Packers 2022 Thread

I don't think Jenkins is back week one mid-season I think but week 1 might be hard.
Has anyone heard of any progress reports?

And, if they project him at OT, can they get by with Nijman/Van Lanen/draft pick?
Or do they need to sign a vet backup after the draft/before training camp?

The Packers eval of Jenkins is what determines the draft strategy.

Likely depends on how they view Nijman or go in draft if they think Nijman is a legit starter or take a guy in draft Jenkins then stays at OG. Right now you can't count on Jenkins being ready for season. Packers hopefully learned lesson in rushing a player back after Bak had to have a second surgery because he was rushed back.

Everyone progresses at their own pace.
Jenkins may be a fast healer, but maybe not.
For sure none of us know.
That why I ask it as an open question.

Couple that with Bahk injury and I think GB looks OL first round

I agree. WR and OL in first round and DL and OLB or again WR in the 2nd. That is of course if the draft falls that way.

It's not like we do not need a safety as well. We could probably pick any of those positions and be good as long as we do not reach like Gute tends to do. Or at least it seems like he does.

I still worry about our D and the big guys up front. That is major weak spot, IMO.

I expect a draft pick for the DL, but I don’t expect a 320# NT/DT type.
I was thinking a 4i-5 tech type guy who can improve on what Lowry does.

I would not be shocked if there is a run on WR's at 22 if GB slide down 4-5 spots if they were able to get a 3rd round pick thrown at them.

Packers need to draft a TE that can help take pressure of of rookie WR’s in the passing game, but still be of use in the run game.
McBride is my first choice, but Ferguson comes from a program that asked him to do both, and Woods is an imposing red zone target.
Packers can’t rely on just WR’s to replace what they lost in Adams and MVS.
This offense will have a different look to it, but I’m positively interested in how that may shake out.

Need to draft Long Snapper with one of 2 2nd round picks. :)
