Packers 2022 Thread

Could be the change of scenery has something to do with Stokes, Alexander, and Russell being ahead of him and the fact that he may see less snaps. He may just be looking for more playing time. Plus it's likely they draft another DB.

The #Packers like their options at nickel CB, but it sounds like this season will be a huge opportunity for Jaire Alexander to move around.

Gutekunst: "He's going to go where some of the receivers are going to go and follow those guys in different packages. He can do everything"

Might just be he doesn’t like GB. It’s a business
I'll also add, for whatever Pettine's faults, the players liked him and obviously him being in MN had a big part in Z and Sullivan's decisions.

A lot of talk being discussed about Bernhard Raimann as a 1st round possible pick for Green Bay.
One site I like to visit to get info on prospects is The Draft Network, and they suggest Raimann, Petit-Frere, Lucas, Walker, Jones, and Volson as all being 3rd round prospects.

Now, for transparency purposes, The Draft Network isn’t the Be All-End All when it comes to prospect eval’s. But maybe we are reading too much into Raimann as a 1st round option.

One guy also if you want to shore up the inside of the OL is Zion Johnson he is a guard who also can play center. We know GB loves to take players who can play more then one spot.

He can play OT as well.
Maybe not long term, but he can fill in for a period of time.

I’ve read a few comps similar. To be fair most had him round 2 but general consensus seems to be he can play in the league but to put him in day 1 is a risk.

Honestly, the question of drafting an OL in this draft depends a lot on Elgton Jenkins.
1) Will he be ready by Week 1 of the season?
2) Where do the Packers want him to play? Inside? Outside?

If he returns to OG, then they don’t need him to be ready by Week 1. But that also means that Gute better draft 2 OT’s. One to compete to start early on at RT, and another as a future starter at LT.
If Jenkins is viewed as a future OT, then they should draft an OT early, and a versatile IOL later to develop.

I don't think Jenkins is back week one mid-season I think but week 1 might be hard.
