NFL was putting pressure on GB to go to London. They were the only team not to go yet. No other team was ever giving up a home game to be home team vs GB as it's always usually a sellout for them at home vs Packers as they team fans travel well.

They turned down a bye after the London game.

Feels almost like a punishment having it so late in season.
Doesn't seem like NFL is all that concerned about player health and safety.

ML wanted the bye late in season he likes the bye week to be late in season
 
So did NFL do this on purpose? Packers are right now 1 win behind Chicago all time regualr season wins. 783 for Chicago and 782 for GB. Week 1 Chicago plays 49ers and GB plays Minn. If GB wins and Chicago losses they are tied and then week 2 Chicago at GB were GB could then pass then for the all time wins. Does it seem not like this was maybe set up that the teams play each other which could see the record maybe broke?
