Official Week 14 Green Bay vs Detroit Thread

I want Jaire back as much as anyone but if he’s not there yet then I don’t want him to play. It’s a physical game against a physical team. Can’t have a corner who is hesitant to tackle, we’ve seen it before with him. When he’s not right physically he can be a target and a liability.

totally agree. i was only lamenting the fact that we have to go into arguably our toughest game of the season without some of our key players.

I think team is going to have to think is it worth releasing him in the off-season. I the last 4 seasons he's only had one healthy season.

They can save a couple million but it depends on roster construction. Right now there is no one even close to replacing him talent wise. They missed out on all the corners from this last class, no going back but that was a big mistake. Maybe they can revamp the position in one offseason but if they don’t, what do you gain besides a couple million in cap savings by releasing him?

Their important players are all still pretty young so their window to win is pretty flexible right now. Maybe it’s one step back to take two steps forward but I don’t think it makes sense to cut first and ask questions later.

I agree. I think they keep Jaire next year and then they save a little over 6M in 2026 by releasing him. Then they have two years to draft CBs to replace him.

Packers 34, Lions 17...... play without the mistakes, penalties or turnovers and they should beat the Lions.

Well, the Lions have a bunch of injuries as well . ..
the packers have 13 players on their injury report. the lions have six. both teams have ruled out four players, but i would argue that the four packers that have been ruled out are a bigger hit than the four lions that were ruled out. the best thing about the lions that were ruled out is that three of them are defensive linemen. but those are positions that are often rotated throughout the game so who knows if it will have any real impact in the game.
