Mark Murphy Retirement Date Set

It would be nice to see if they have specific detailed plans going forward.

A restaurant/entertainment area would be something that would get my attention.

A place where food vendor trucks could park on game day pre-game/post-game might be nice too.
Food trucks won't work as Packers would not want to cut into their own food and drink profits. Plus Parking already at a premium on game day

Doesn't matter, you are selling food that is a health code issue. You MUST meet local codes and get a permit. IF it's within the confines of that municipal area then their codes and the states must be followed.
Those trucks are used to operating, I'm sure code compliance wouldn't be an issue. I just don't think the Packers would want them there at all, why let some mom and pop operation take money out of their pockets?

Also GB is small potatoes not going to get anyone wanting to spend money to build a place on Titletown district. It's just not a full year draw to get people to come to. Outside of locals who else going to come year round? Only thing I could see land they own done one is in future if they would ever replace the stadium use land to build right next door.

Yep. I understand all that. I would ask if there are local food vendor trucks already operating in greater Green Bay that already have a permit, but then would pay an annual licensing fee (like a PSL) to the Packers to set up in a designated area on game days.
I would think they might go a weeks worth of business in a matter of hours if given that chance, and I’m sure fans would appreciate a variety of food choices.

Not sure as it seems most fans have 3 things. 1 they are tailgating so they bring own food. 2 they already ate at home. 3 They want to experience full game day and eat at the stadium.

My point is I am not sure the city would let them, what your all forgetting is that means the code compliance and health folks have to go out and police them etc. I promise that if they charged them to set up near Lambeau it would cause a stir....GBP can answer better but the locals already think the Packers overcharge etc since it was taxpayer funds that helped with the stadium expansion etc years ago.

That district idea has just never ever taken off.

This is correct, I live in De Pere now and my neighbor used to co own a bar in Green Bay, people really hate how the Packers seemed to have drawn some of those local business funds into their own pockets. Packers are a huge draw and part of the local economy but they also get their share of blame for higher taxes and traffic and infrastructure problems.

The titletown thing is just okay, it isn't the off season draw they talked about.

I am not sure how it turned out by Packers hosted a flag football tourney last week. They did have food trucks at this event. I am thinking Packers would never want a bunch taking up space on their ground and also there might be an agreement with their current provider in the stadium that would not allow this as they get exclusive rights. Now if a private business would want to have food trucks in their lot that could be a different animal.

What baffles me is how the Packers front office actually swallowed the whole, "Mecca of football" bit that John Madden always talked about, in Green Bay. Although it is a destination point, it's not like Mecca, where millions of people repeat the journey there, to worship at the house that legends built. It's a football stadium, and to most people, having been there, seen it, and enjoyed what it offers, never return. It's no different than seeing the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, and never heading in that direction again to see it again, because it doesn't do anything.

During the off season, the stadium restaurants are nearly empty, the HOF, and Pro Shop are the same. As for the hotels, barely operational, at best. It's just not the place for summer activities on a general basis.

If it fails, it's because they've alienated the local people and businesses, driving them away from the zone. That's the last thing they should allow to happen. The Packers are supposed to be part of the community, not a competitor to them.
