Kenny Clark signs! 4yr, 70M

He's being paid as the best NT in the league? That kind of $$ should be for people who are game changers. He sure didn't change much in the middle last year when they got shredded up the middle.

This is a head scratcher. Is he a key piece of the defense? Sure.. Should get a big contract? Sure. but dear Lord he isn't that good.... He doesn't change the game and make opposing DCs worried to be paid the highest ever.
 
Lot of money for a guy that plays behind his own LOS. He's not Chris Jones.
 
Kenny Clark says he expects Mike Pettine to move him around more this fall, giving him more opportunities to be a playmaker with one-on-one matchups. "I've just got to make more splash plays," he says. He wants to put together a full, consistent season.
 
So Kenny Clark will be only 29 years old when he has a chance to sign a 3rd contract if he would play out all 5 years he is now under contract for.
 
Let's hope he lives up to the contract instead of becoming satisfied that he's got his pay day. Some guys are incentivized by the contract others? Not so much.
