Eddie Lacy's camp expects to please the Packers with his weight loss.

To kick off the offseason, Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy issued a challenge Eddie Lacy to slim down after a year in which the star running back appeared to play well above his listed weight. According to NFL Network's Albert Breer, Lacy has made tremendous progress in the mere two months since the 2015 season ended.

"I know the people around Eddie Lacy really feel like the Packers are going to be happy with what they see when Lacy reports for the offseason program next week," Breer said Tuesday on NFL Network.

Evidence has already begun to mount regarding Lacy's weight loss. Back in January, reports surfaced that P-90X creator Tony Horton had volunteered to work with the running back to trim the extra pounds and remake his body. Horton and Lacy began to appear in each other's social media accounts soon thereafter. Most recently, a photo showing a visibly slimmer Lacy and a fan made the rounds.

The Packers list Lacy at 234 pounds, though he has likely played most or all of his professional career above that number. If Lacy's efforts to rework his body continue, that could change in 2016.
