Early Bird GB Mock

i feel like this simulator almost forces you into the same picks every time. my first two picks, the best picks available were clearly the same as gbp's above. i forced myself to take the road less traveled with the pick of a center in the 4th. that left me with no good dts the rest of the way so i had to take a flyer on two long-shots.

I've noticed that too as I have messed around. I try not to lock into my first pick but its hard when you really like someone at that position

go down to select players list...you can use other data bases like PFF/ESPN etc

i did try that, and it didn't change much, but maybe i'll try a couple of the other ones. the draft i had above was based on "consensus". i did have the chance to draft ponds in the second round, but i like julian neal more. it's kind of cool that you were able to get jake slaughter at 158. if i had thought he would still be there, i would have taken someone else at 120.

I don't want to be "that guy" because Lord knows I don't know, but for anyone mocking Deangelo Ponds to GB - he is 5'9 (with his shoes on), 170lbs. Even when they've been flexible on height under 6'0, they tend to only draft guys over 190lbs, or closer to 200. I just think he's way too small for them.

i agree, but it is hard to find a good six-foot corner in the second round. almost every team wants big corners, and there just aren't that many good ones. i'm really hoping we can get someone like chris johnson. he is 6'0", 185 lbs. so close enough to those standards. but coming from san diego state, you have to question whether the competition he played against. honestly, he will probably be gone by the time we pick. in all of my mocks so far, the most recent one was the first time i saw him available. Julian Neal and Devin Moore fit the mold, and will probably be available at our 2nd or 3rd round pick. it is going to be a challenge that's for sure.
