Mathews was a liability in coverage, inside or outside and at best average vs the run....classic case over overvaluing your own talent

Yep he was just ok. He made a few splash plays and blitz some from inside. Then he got burned also. He was average

Cm3 game was speed around the edge. Injuries and age have taken that away. Its a biz and hes home in Cali for one last run. Win win imo

I will say that the NFL officials took a lot out of his game last year with those calls early in the season. I think it may have had a bad effect on him psychologically.
