As we hit a dead period before the NFL Draft, we look back to find some items from the 1960s making waves.
For as great as a football coach Vince Lombardi was, perhaps his greatest accomplishments and actions as the Green Bay Packers' head man were the way he treated his players as individuals and the locker room environment he created inside the organization.
One player who saw what an effect that environment had, both from inside it and from a distance, was cornerback Herb Adderley, a Pro Football Hall of Famer who was a member of all five of Lombardi's championship teams in that decade before departing for the Dallas Cowboys.
While we have stories of Lombardi's time, the organization also recently acquired a relic from his first championship team, which will make a great addition to the memorabilia collection at the team's Hall of Fame. In today's curds, we also look ahead to 2016's Draft and mourn the tragic loss of a member of the NFL community who died in a senseless act of violence.
