Bucks vs Hawks Eastern Conference Finals Thread

You could see it happen. Legs do not bend that way. I hope it won't require surgery.

Even if he tries to gut it out, he won't be effective, so it's time for him to stay off the court, and get that knee repaired for next year. He has a lot of career ahead of him.

As for the Bucks, they'd already fallen apart with him in the line up. We're going to see if they have the capability of coming anywhere close to what other teams have when they lose stars.

Personally, I think they're toast. But we'll see. They just don't play as a team when Giannis is not in the line up. Let's see if Bud can actually coach, or not. We've watched teams go through to the next round, and be competitive, without their star player. Let's see if the Bucks are capable of winning or not.

Hope the Giannis injury isn't serious but we'll see. Bucks being the Bucks last night - no mental toughness, no heart. Atlanta loses it's best player and comes ready to play. Bucks go soft but hang in there and keep it reasonably close until Giannis goes down, then they fold like the proverbial cheap suit. If Giannis is out for a few games, I just can't see the Bucks overcoming. They have the talent and skill to win a championship but I just don't know if they have the mental make-up for it. Hope I'm wrong.

Not going the doom and gloom route. Atlanta folded in game 3 when Young went down and same happened to Milwaukee last night. Just a mental gut punch. Let’s see how they respond Thursday. Phoenix should have closed out LA at home and played soft.

I’m starting to wonder, with the minimal time between last years finals and this year and only 1 off day even on travel days that nobody has fresh legs anymore. A few years ago there were 2 -3 days between games in the conference finals. Gave some recovery time. Had a friend who knows a lot more than I ever will about hoops bring this up last night. The mental grind has to be exhausting

At this point I think it goes 7 and who knows who survives

I agree on the time off.
Yeah I’m not blaming injuries they happen but Harden, Kawhi, Kyrie, Bron, Davis, Young Giannis. Mitchell went down for Utah. Never seen this rash in memory.

When you lose your legs you just don’t get elevation on your shot, harder to move laterally on defense. Not making excuses, each team deals with it but it makes for some very ordinary basketball and while it comes back in spurts it’s not going to be consistent
